The Neighbourhood started in Newbury Park, California as Jesse Rutherford's bedroom project before expanding into a full band. They broke through with the 2013 single 'Sweater Weather,' a song so ubiquitous it became inescapable—streaming billions of times across platforms. The band's sound blends lo-fi indie rock with hip-hop influences and moody introspection, creating something that feels deliberately understated.
