Stitched Up Heart formed in Orange County in 2009 as an all-female metalcore outfit before transitioning to a more mixed lineup. Built around Mixi Dementia's vocals and Dan Salo's guitar work, the band carved out space in metalcore by blending heavy instrumentation with electronic elements and pop sensibilities.
