About New Found Glory
New Found Glory formed in Coral Springs, Florida in the late 90s and basically defined what pop punk sounded like for a generation. Their self-titled debut in 2000 and follow-up "From the Screen to Your Stereo" established them as the band that could write hooks sharp enough to stick in your head for years. "My Friends Over You" became their signature moment—a song about choosing your friends over a relationship that somehow resonated way beyond its simple premise. They've kept at it for over two decades, never chasing trends but not quite willing to disappear either. The band's been through lineup changes and label shifts, but they've maintained the core appeal: earnest, melodic rock that doesn't require you to be fifteen to appreciate, even if it definitely hits different when you are.
Shows are loud singalongs where everyone knows the words. Crowd's genuinely there for it, not just going through the motions. They play the hits without irony and the energy never really dips. People lose their minds in the best way possible.

New Found Glory + Sacramento
New Found Glory rolled through Sacramento in August 2025, hitting Toyota Amphitheatre with eight songs that felt like a greatest-hits conversation with longtime fans. They opened with "Understatement" and moved through the pop-punk fundamentals—"All Downhill From Here," "Hit or Miss"—before digging into the deeper cuts that matter. "My Friends Over You" closed things out, a song that still lands like it did twenty years ago. It was a tight set, the kind where you get the sense they know exactly what people came for.

Live Music in Sacramento
Sacramento's rock and alternative scene has always been solid if understated, built on the kind of venues and crowds that respect musicianship without needing the spectacle. Pop-punk and emo-adjacent acts have found their footing here over the years, drawn to an audience that appreciates the craft of a well-written three-minute song. The city's music culture rewards bands that show up, play it straight, and don't oversell themselves—which is probably why New Found Glory fits naturally into the landscape.
