Kala, her follow-up, doubled down on the experimental angle with heavily processed vocals and samples that sounded like they were beamed in from three different countries simultaneously. She's collaborated with producers like Diplo and The Switch, toured extensively, and maintained a career that operates entirely on her own terms. She doesn't need your validation, and that's always been the point.
