About iDKHOW
iDKHOW is a two-piece band featuring Dallon Weekes and Ryan Seaman, emerging from the alternative rock scene with a sound that straddles emo sensibility and indie rock irreverence. Weekes, known for his work with The Brobecks, brought songwriting chops to the project while Seaman provided tight, precise drumming. The band's early output caught attention for its slacker energy and genuinely weird subject matter delivered with deadpan intensity. Songs like Choke showcase their ability to make anxious, introspective lyrics feel almost conversational rather than desperate. They've built a dedicated following by refusing to take themselves too seriously while actually caring about the craft, a balancing act that resonates with people tired of both irony and sincerity as separate extremes. Their presence feels less like a band with a mission statement and more like the work of two people making music they wanted to hear.
Shows are tight and weird in equal measure. Weekes has this detached stage presence that somehow holds attention, while Seaman locks in drumming that hits harder live. Crowds tend toward genuine fans rather than casual listeners, people who actually know the deeper cuts. Lots of singalongs on choruses but it never tips into crowd-service territory.

iDKHOW + Denver
iDKHOW brought their particular brand of theatrical pop-punk to the Ogden Theatre in April 2024, working through a 20-song set that felt less like a greatest hits tour and more like a deep inventory of their catalog. They opened with the jagged "SPKOTHDVL" and spent the evening toggling between earworm hooks and deliberately unsettling tracks—"Visitation of the Ghost" landed somewhere in that murky middle ground they seem to love. The show closed out with "Boring," which is exactly the kind of tonal whiplash that defines their approach. Denver crowds have always responded well to their refusal to play it straight, and this set was no exception, balancing fan favorites like "Leave Me Alone" and "Nobody Likes the Opening Band" with odder choices that rewarded the people who actually know the records.

Live Music in Denver
Denver's music scene has historically leaned toward jam bands and alt-country, but there's been a steady uptick in theatrical and art-pop acts finding their footing here. The city's venues have gotten increasingly adventurous about booking acts that don't fit the traditional Colorado mold. iDKHOW's blend of synth-driven pop and visual theatricality slots into that newer, weirder Denver sensibility pretty naturally.
Denver road trip to see iDKHOW?
Stay in Highland, where tree-lined streets and independent bookstores make it feel like you're actually in Denver rather than passing through. Eat at Frasca Food and Wine if you want to understand why Colorado takes its ingredients seriously—it's fine dining without pretense. Before the show, spend an afternoon at the Denver Art Museum's contemporary wing, which often has installations that match the visual language of experimental music. Walk around Santa Fe Drive's gallery district. It's the kind of neighborhood where the art and music scenes actually talk to each other.
