Death Angel formed in San Francisco in 1982 when the members were teenagers, making them one of the youngest bands in the thrash metal scene. They released their debut "The Ultra Violence" in 1987 to immediate acclaim, establishing themselves as serious contenders alongside the genre's bigger names.
