They've built a small devoted following among people who appreciate music that doesn't apologize for being difficult or pretty. The project touches on themes of excess, decay, and the seedy underbelly of modern life, though they're not interested in being preachy about it. It's more textural than conceptual—they're more interested in how something sounds than what it means.
